Cleveland Reptile Show

In February 2012, I visited the Cleveland Reptile Show for the first time. My wife Nicola threatened to move out via the back door, at the very same moment I should dare to enter the front door accompanied by a snake. Truth be told, I am not much into snakes, but I could see some Green Basilisks at some stage in my future. What interests me are reptiles that can be kept in groups in decorative planted vivariums. I guess I could even give up a fish tank for such a setup. If you are knowledgeable in this area, I am open for suggestions 😉

The offerings at the Cleveland Reptile Show were amazing. People seemed to come from all walks of life, and I was surprised by the large number of women who were really into snakes. I went away with the impression that the girls seem to be much more into snakes than into cichlids. Everybody was super friendly, and people were extremely accommodating of me as a newcomer wanting to take photos. I also met a few of my old fish friends from the local club scene who are also into reptiles. There seems to be considerable overlap! To say it in Arnold Schwarzenegger's famous words: "I'll be back!"
